Our Annual Regatta Weekend
As well as the racing, the Regatta weekend brought us two enjoyable evenings.
The Friday evening supper, held at the Royal London Thames Club, was a jolly evening, with colleagues and friends gathering for a catch-up and new members meeting for the first time. After the races, the Prize Presentation Dinner was held at the Royal Yacht Squadron, which hosted a wonderful evening in the marquee.
The prizes were presented by the Admiral of the CLYC, Cdre Anthony Morrow.
Regatta day promised enough wind to carry the boats around the course. Despite these early promises, the wind dropped, however, most of the boats managed to complete the course. The second race faired better and all boats finished.
The Race Officer, Peter Chugg of ISC, assisted by Jo Chugg, watched the events from the look out and prizes are awarded as follows:
